I found a strange Tomato Flower on one of my plants.

G'day folks,
while I was looking at how things were coming along in garden land the other day, I noticed an odd bloom.

I took a few photographs and here thay are.
I remember a while ago a crop of peas, one of the sprouts came up white, not green, it had no chlorophyll in it, an only developed a few leaves and died. Must have had a bad gene.

I have noticed a large wide tomato plant flower that looks a bit like a daisey.
There are other normal looking flowers on the plant, just the one strange flower, so far.
It has a while to develop yet.
Does anyone know if this is a common thing?
Strange mutations in the plant somewhere maybe?

I'll Keep my eye and camera on it.

I hope it survives the feasting attacks from the beasts, that is.

Kevin.

  1. I found one of these flowers on one of my plants. What came of it? Did it fruit? Do you have pictures of what developed?

  2. Hi, no, it never developed into anything. After it bloomed it died and fell off. There may be another in the works this year, I'm keeping my eye on them. I found a picture of the bad gene pea sprout, now, where did I put it?

  3. Ask Monsanti what it is.No don't bother, they wont tell you that it is a tomato plant that has a gene from another plant inserted in it. They say you do not have the right to know.
